• Dr. Nivash Chandrasekaran completed his undergraduate program from Govt. Kilpauk Medical College, affiliated to Dr. MGR Tamil Nadu Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He underwent Post Graduate training in Anaesthesiology from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai, India. He has worked for three years in the state of the art cardiology institute - Sree Jayadeva Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Bangalore, India and obtained DM in Cardiac Anaesthesia from the same. He is currently working as Consultant Anaesthesiologist in Apollo Hospital, Chennai, India.
• He has vast experience in transplant Anaesthesia and has successfully carried out liver, kidney, bowel, and pancreatic transplant surgeries from both live and deceased donor tissues. He has done more than 1500 Interventional catheterization in various discipline including Cardiac, Neuro and Gastro-Intestinal Intervention Procedures along with Electrophysiological studies, CABG, Valve and Complex congenital cardiac surgeries. His special interests include TEE and Transplants in Low Cardiac output state.
• He is part of the team involved in Phase I, Islet cell research for treatment of Diabetes in India.
• He has special interest in reducing carbon foot print in health care and is associated with manufacturing, R & D of biodegradable disposals in health care.
